Using Drupal 8, iOS and Android, it gives users expert advice, the latest information and guidance on how to make the best of the best years of their lives.
Project description
With so many fitness and wellness apps out there targeted to young adults, older generations struggle to find wellness solutions which cater to their specific needs. Our client and partner, FireFinch, realised the need for a wellness platform specifically catered to people aged 50 and above, the Quintastic generation.

TheOptimal.me is about functional fitness and wellness at its best and incorporates body, mind and spirit. Whether you are dreading the onslaught of middle age or heading way north of it, TheOptimal.me will provide you with expert advice, the latest information and guidance on how to make the best of the best years of your life.

FireFinch collaborated closely with WeAreBrain since 2018 to provide innovative tech solutions using Drupal 8, iOS and Android technology.

The platform offers multiple subscription options and consists of 100% unique and personalised content enhanced by smart recommendation algorithms all wrapped into one simple user interface for consumers and administrators.

Challenges
CHALLENGE 1: A LARGER THAN USUAL MVP INCLUDING PLATFORM, TWO APPS AND LOTS OF CONTENT

CHALLENGE 2 : THE CHALLENGE OF DRUPAL’S CMS FOR NON-TRAINED BUSINESS USERS

Solution:
Custom UI fully built to simplify admin workflows and content publishing:

- Easy to use for non-tech-savy users

CHALLENGE 3: ORCHESTRATE TECH DELIVERY WITH TIGHT CONTENT PRODUCTION SCHEDULES

Solution:
Devise a workflow so that the content producers also maintain the platform.

Since launching, the time it takes to upload and publish content was reduced by more than 40% through a custom workflow connecting Drupal 8 with Vimeo’s Enterprise streaming solution. The platform launched with over 400 unique courses and content items, reducing streaming cost by more than 90%.
